A reflecting telescope to suit all ages
Composite of initial 2011 summer night time lapse experiments using Samyang 8mm fisheye lens on Canon T1i DSLR controlled by a SmaTrig2, with experimental simple motion panning using GOTO telescope mount.
Video clips assembled using FFmpeg on Linux Mint Debian (LMDE) OS. Movie created using Kdenlive. Background music by Greendjohn (creative commons).

Moon in the daytime 4.5 inch reflector Newtonian Telescope. Digital Camera not webcam. Magnification with eyepiece 40x. Camera was adapted with a piece of round cardboard to fit camera lens and eyepiece.

A 5 minute video shot atop Mount Palomar in North County San Diego. I start with the outside of the white dome in view and proceed to venture on in to the viewing area in which I show just how large a 200″ really is. I think only one person works there at a time.
